Since
1943 the Giacobbe Academy of Dance has dedicated itself to the proper education in the art of dance. Owned and operated by
the Giacobbe family, and staffed with a faculty of professional teachers, the studio is internationally known and recognized
for the quality of its instruction and the outstanding dancers it has produced.
Giacobbe Academy is home of the Delta Ballet Festival, the only resident professional ballet company in the
state, and the the New Orleans Youth Ballet, a pre-professional junior company which offers young dancers 10 years and the
older the opportunity to gain valuable experience by further training and performing experience.
